About
Glittermouse (Annabeth Orton) graduated with a Fine Art Sculpture degree from Kingston University in 2002 and has since taught a range of 2D and 3D processes at Further Education Colleges in London and Manchester. With a broad practice including painting, illustration and even a craft stall at Camden Market, she first began experimenting with digital techniques after encountering the Demoscene in 2005 and has since placed first in New School Graphics compos in the UK and Europe. She is now combining a love for the digital with physical making processes and exhibited a live drawing installation at Alternative Party; Art and Technology Exhibition in Helsinki in October 2009 before the solo show Marking the Territory at the Link Gallery in Manchester in April. Currently studying an MA in 3D Design at Manchester Metropolitan University, recent practice explores techniques that cross the divide between the digital and physical to discuss issues of modern city spaces. Her proposal for the TINT Arts Lab, This Belongs To, looks at designing an object to encourage interaction with the urban environment and engage participants with issues of public ownership.
